Shakespeare used the terrible plagues that passed through London in the early 1600s as a primary inspiration for two of humanity’s greatest works of art: Macbeth and King Lear. A year ago, only parents of the tenth grade were able to come and experience that class’s passionate and dark production of Macbeth.  Today, a year later, WSSD high school is proud to invite all adult members of the WSSD community to this year’s 10th-Grade play, King Lear. The play is appropriate for grades 7 and up. Performances will be outdoor and follow our covid guidelines.

Please plan ahead to attend this year’s tenth grade as we continue to reestablish the wonderful tradition of high school drama in our community.

All ticket sales and donations will cover the costs of the play’s production and support this year’s 11th-grade service trip to Puerto Rico.

Robotics Club is a new student-led club that is starting at WSSD! Like many of the high school clubs, robotics does not require outside expertise, but a willingness to learn and problem solve while working in a cooperative and innovative environment. The club will be following the format laid out by the first tech challenge organization. Through the process, STEM experience is gained while performing tasks that may include, but are not limited to, administrative duties, product assembly, and computer programming.
