The Waldorf School of San Diego invites you to bring us your talent, ideas, and energy as we prepare today’s children for the ever challenging needs of the future.
The Waldorf School of San Diego is in its 33rd year in service to the community and serves children from PreK through Grade 12. The school year 2014-15 marks the seventh year for the high school and the fourth graduating senior class. Current school enrollment is 306. We have 2 campuses (just 1 mile apart) -- the Altadena Campus serves PreK-8 students and the Colina Campus serves Grades 9-12. Two kindergartens and two nurseries aid in the healthy enrollment of future grades. We are also pleased to have a solid and energetic administration. With the strong support of our parents, the operation of the school is guided by the faculty which includes specialty teachers for music, games, strings, foreign language, handwork, woodwork, gardening, choir, choir ensemble, orchestra ensemble, band and eurythmy.
Our school is located in a diverse neighborhood, close to the city and beaches, and not too far from the mountains. The school is perched on a hill with a view of Mount Miguel. In the winter months, snow-capped peaks are visible to the East. Mexico and the coast are visible to the South. The climate is mild most of the year with daytime temperatures averaging in the 70’s.
