Grade One Teacher for 2010/2011 School Year

The Waldorf School of San Diego is seeking a Waldorf-trained teacher to lead a Grade One class through to Grade 8.  Candidate MUST have at least a Bachelors Degree and must have completed Waldorf Teacher Training. 

We currently serve children from Pre-K through Grade 10 and will be adding Grade 11 in the fall of 2010.  The Waldorf School of San Diego is celebrating its 29th year in service to the community.  We have 3 kindergartens and a preschool which aid in the healthy enrollment of many future first grades.  We are also pleased to have a solid and energetic administration.  With the strong support of our parents, the operation of the school is guided by the faculty which includes specialty teachers for music, games, strings, foreign language, handwork, wood work, gardening, choir and eurythmy.

Our school is located in a diverse neighborhood, close to the city and beaches but also not too far from the mountains.  The school is perched on a hill with views to Mount Miguel.  In the winter months, snow capped mountains are visible to the East.  The climate is mild all year long with day time temperatures averaging in the 70s.
