A Four Year Journey of Language and Culture
If you stand on the ridge at the south end of our Altadena campus on a clear day, you can see Mexico. We are actively working on transforming that ridge into our permanent high school campus. Our students will one day emerge from their classes, cross through the student lounge and look out upon the world’s possibilities. We are committed to insuring that our students reach out, experience and understand the world beyond San Diego and the United States.
Students study spanish daily for all four years of their high school journey. Qualified students will soon have the opportunity to study abroad at a Waldorf school during their high school years. Our curriculum and teachers emphasize international studies and human rights as a means of understanding our global community and respecting the diversity of our globe’s many cultures. Whether it is through service to our diverse City Heights community, our language and social justice curriculum or the twelfth grade study of Russian literature, our students are asked to become responsible citizens of the international world.
